Priscilla Presley, the mother of Lisa Marie Presley, could not hold back her tears on Sunday January 22 during her daughter's funeral at Graceland, the property of Elvis Presley in Memphis.
The King's ex-wife, now 77, paid a moving tribute to the late singer during a memorial service open to the public.

), written by Lisa Marie's three daughters, Riley, 33, and the Harper twins and Finley, aged 14.

"I didn't know how to put words to my mother.
The truth is that there are too many.
Lisa Marie Presley was an icon, a role model, a superheroine for so many people all over the world.
But mom was my icon, my role model, my superhero in more ways than one.
Even now, I can't quite figure out all there is to understand or know about her.
But she always said 'I will do my best'”.
Priscilla paused for a moment, struggling to hold back her tears.
She then spoke of the suicide of Lisa Marie's son, Benjamin Keough, who disappeared aged 27 in July 2020, leaving his mother "heartbroken", borrowing from "survivor's guilt".
“In 1968, she entered our world.
Born tired, fragile but strong

She was delicate, but full of life.
She always knew she wouldn't be here very long.
Childhood passes with a glimpse of his green eye.
She then started her own family.
Then came her second child, leaving her with suspicions.
Could it be the angel that brings me home?
Now she is home where she always belonged, but my heart misses her love.
She knew I loved her.
I'm afraid I'll never touch her.
But the old soul is still with me.
She doesn't drift away

Priscilla Presley then thanked everyone who came to attend this tribute.
