Italy wins the European selections of the Gelato World Cup and will compete in the Gelato World Cup 2024. This is the conclusion of the Gelato Europe Cup, staged at the International Exhibition of Artisan Gelato, Pastry, Bakery and Coffee (Sigep) from Saturday 21 to Monday 23 January, in the Dolce Arena area of the trade fair centre.
The Gelato World Cup, now in its tenth edition, is a biennial event which, since 2003, has involved ice cream, pastry, chocolate and ice sculpture professionals from all over the world.
The European selections were attended by delegations from Austria, Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, Spain and Hungary.
Germany placed second in the selection competition, Hungary third.
Thus Italy, Germany and Hungary will compete in the Gelato World Cup 2024, together with the fourth classified, Austria.
Announced news - informs a note - the inclusion of the third classified of the Argentine and Asian semifinals: in addition to Argentina, Brazil, Singapore and Taiwan, Peru and South Korea will also compete at the Gelato World Cup 2024. Next stage the selections for China which they will take place in Shenzhen within Sigep China from 10 to 12 May.
