Two people died in a fire in a facility for the disabled in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Unna.
Despite attempts to revive them, they died on the spot, a police spokesman said early Tuesday morning.
The dead are therefore men aged 43 and 46 years.
Another person was taken to a clinic after resuscitation.
The 22-year-old is in acute danger of death, the spokesman said.
There was also one person slightly injured.
The fire broke out late Monday evening in a building at the facility in Kamen.
The city is located northeast of Dortmund in the Ruhr area.
On the website of the operator of the facility, it says that adults with mental disabilities are offered living space.
