(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 25 - For the sixth consecutive week, the trend of Covid hospitalizations is declining with a drop of -18% in the last seven days.
The data on intensive care is stable where 30% of patients are not vaccinated and have an average age of 58 years, compared to 71 years of vaccinated subjects.
This is what emerges from the survey of sentinel hospitals belonging to the network of the Italian Federation of Healthcare and Hospitals (Fiaso) of 24 January 2023.
Also constant, says Fiaso in the new report, is the proportion of patients hospitalized 'due to Covid', with respiratory insufficiency or pneumonia, which are 41% of the total, of which 75% have been vaccinated for more than six months, with an average age of 77 years and mostly affected by other pathologies and patients 'With Covid', 59% of Covid places, i.e. patients who arrived at the hospital for the treatment of other pathologies, positive for the virus but without respiratory and pulmonary symptoms.
Only one new entry into intensive care, after the significant drop recorded last week (-44%).
