Justin Bieber has sold the music rights to his song catalog for $200 million.
The Wall Street Journal reports it.
The pop star has signed with Hipgnosis Songs Capital, backed by Blackstone, and marks yet another acquisition of a successful music catalog, as has been the case for other artists such as Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan.
The agreement was announced by Hipgnosis (but without revealing the details of the sale anticipated by the WSJ), and covers Bieber's entire catalog before December 31, 2021 equal to 290 songs released.
With the deal done, Hipgnosis gets Bieber's share of the rights to some of his biggest hits, including "Baby," "What Do You Mean," "Sorry," and "Love Yourself."
