(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 25 - "In the ambit of the Pnrr Tourism, today we are introducing a measure that I don't think has any precedents: a budget of 1 billion 380 million for tourism with the new incentive FRI-Tur (Business revolving fund for the support of and development investments in tourism) promoted by the Ministry of Tourism and managed by Invitalia".

This was announced by the minister of tourism Daniela Santanchè.

"We will be very attentive to compliance with deadlines, I repeat that time is very important for entrepreneurs" she adds.

Among others, the fund is aimed at hotels, agritourisms, bathing establishments and spas, open-air accommodation facilities, tourist ports, companies in the exhibition and congress sector.

The planned interventions range from energy redevelopment to anti-seismic redevelopment and the removal of architectural barriers through restoration, rehabilitation, digitization but also the purchase of furnishings or the construction of thermal pools.

"What's important is that this money goes to businesses quickly, that's what I asked Invitalia, Abi and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti to be quick and fast. Tourism is going very well, in 2023 I'm sure we'll reach and exceed the figures pre pandemic (we are still 10% down). But tourism needs better services, the bar is always higher, better measures and digitalisation".

The minister then explained: "It is a fund of 1 billion and 380 million. It was a measure that provided for an allocation of 180 million (Pnrr resources Next Gen EU funds) but which, thanks to the important work of the ministry, was supplemented with 600 million approved by CIPESS granted to CDP, alongside loans of the same amount and duration granted by the banking sector at market conditions".

"The web platform on this fund will be visible from early afternoon today on which companies will be able to download the documentation from 30 January. The application can be submitted online on the Invitalia website from 1 March 2023" clarifies Luigi Gallo, head of Invitalia's Incentives and Innovation Bu.
