Christmas is just over and the Easter bunnies are already on the supermarket shelves.

Several customers complain about Facebook and Co. about how "lousy" it is.

Rügen/Stuttgart - "We had Christmas a week and a half ago!

Now you can buy the Easter bunnies at the supermarket.

Sick consumer world,” writes one user under his Facebook post.

Customers also post videos and photos with chocolate eggs and bunnies on fully stocked shelves via TikTok and Twitter.

For retailers, Easter begins as early as January, and every year anew.

Apparently, the premature Easter goods still cause surprise and horror among customers who have just celebrated the turn of the year.

Facebook and TikTok comments: "You're not serious"

"It's about time now," jokes a user on Facebook.

A Twitter user finds the consumer culture in the supermarket less funny: "Easter comes right after Christmas and the chocolate bunnies are just as overpriced as the Santa Clauses.

That's lousy."

Under the TikTok video, another posts: "Not serious".

The creator of the video, who roamed several shelves with purple Easter eggs and golden bunnies from well-known and no-name brands with her camera and said she was still in the Christmas spirit herself, replies: "I thought I didn't see it right."

Germany: More than 200 million Easter bunnies every year

Last year, 239 million German chocolate Easter bunnies were produced.

About half of it ended up in the German food trade, the rest was exported abroad.

The most popular variety remained milk chocolate.

Along with brightly colored eggs and Easter bonfires, the rabbit is just one of many Easter customs that we practice in this country.

The Romans already saw the animal as a sign of fertility.
