2023-01-26T09:45:53.197Z

Among other services, it offers therapy sessions. There are patients from different provinces.

Talk later?

Talkit (https://linktr.ee/talkit.online) is an

online therapy

space that offers an innovative platform to facilitate communication with a mental health professional from any geographical area.

It allows finding

specialists easily and quickly

, adjusting each session to the calendar and personal needs.

A plus?

The treatment is complemented by a toolkit available in the virtual community: exercises, an educational library, mindfulness videos to work on anxiety, and

therapeutic workshops to share experiences.

The patients come from most of the Argentine provinces, from Salta to Ushuaia.

The data is not minor because in the places where they reside it is very difficult for them to match with a psychologist or with the appropriate specialist.

Some figures.

32% are between 18 and 25 years old, 38% are between 26 and 35 years old, 20% are between 36 and 45 years old, 7% are between 46 and 55 years old, and 2% are 55 and older.

The format, which is based on a subscription model of monthly plans, was created by an Argentine.

The value of the session, which lasts 45 minutes, is

$3,599

and there is no purchase limit, although there are still no special packages.

Talkit is the name of the online therapy space on a platform

On August 2, 2021, the first pilot test was launched in the country and work is already underway to announce it in

Mexico and Colombia.

The intention, according to comments from the platform, is to expand to other markets in Latin America.

“Talkit allows us to

accompany people who are going through a difficult time.

We make them feel good again and we do it with one of the most effective therapies," Carolina Collia, psychologist, founder and CEO of the company

, tells

Clarín .

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

The specialty of the system is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is considered one of the most valid and effective for the treatment of multiple mental disorders.

What is it about?

It is a short-term therapy, based on scientific knowledge, that focuses on the present moment,

on the problems of the here and now

.

The patient becomes the protagonist of his treatment: he works in a collaborative environment with his therapist and reflects on his own actions.

"Work is done to replace negative thoughts with positive ones so that the patient can regulate their emotions, transform their harmful behaviors, and thus

improve their quality of life

," reports Carolina.

It's that CBT can help change the way you think (cognitive), how you act (behavioral), and how these changes can help you feel better.

Currently, it has

25 active therapists

and another 25 who applied and are in the process of validation.

An important fact.

The therapy does not end in the session itself: there is a discussion of exercises (available on the platform) that are carried out during the week.

The goal is for the patient to be in contact and to be able to

progress with their treatment day by day

, without having to wait until the next session.

Argentine psychologist Carolina Collia is the founder of the online therapy app that seeks to expand to Latin America.

Talkit's 8 steps

Talkit program is a free program that makes endless skills, strategies and exclusive content available online.

The objective is to identify and work on problems through

8 steps with videos and practical exercises.

Each one lasts between 2 and 8 minutes.

"They allow you to get out of your comfort zone, achieve emotional regulation, acceptance, strengthen yourself and measure your progress on a daily basis. The purpose is to offer explanations and exercises that users can

do alone or accompanied by a therapist

every time they have a problem or you don't feel well”, indicates Carolina.

The 8 sections that make it up allow you to achieve greater well-being through concepts, exercises and examples from daily life.

In the first steps, cognitive-behavioral therapy is deepened, in the search and definition of what the problems, values, goals and objectives of the person are.

In addition to online sessions, the platform offers other types of services.

Then, the program is introduced in the techniques to modify everything that happens to the individual, in modifying certain thoughts, emotions and behaviors for other more functional ones.

In the last steps, it provides

strategies so that you can begin to communicate better with others,

control anger, jealousy, anxiety, set limits, and make decisions.

“My sister recommended me to start cognitive behavioral therapy, and Talkit was one of the first options.

It seemed new to me that it is a digital platform”, assumes Silvina Maldonado.

And Felisa Guerrero adds: “Talkit is a tool that I use every day to feel better.

Being behavioral, it gives you

guidelines and practices that you can follow.”

How is the match between psychologist and patient?

-To assign the therapist, users must create their Talkit account for free.

The platform requests some data such as the email with which they will access their account, personal data, the problem they are seeking to solve and the therapist's gender preference.

What is this information for?

-It allows us to assign the therapist that best suits the needs of the patient, taking into account factors such as the therapist's specialization and the availability of the closest schedule so that the patient can schedule and start their sessions when they need it.

"Today we have more than

10,000 users in Talkit

and we register 500 account creations per month. In the event that the patient is not satisfied with the attention or the hours of his therapist, he can request the change without any cost," he says. Carolina.

A digital toolbox

A complementary library that offers information and exercises on specific disorders, such as depression, anxiety, OCD and phobias.

"The goal is to psycho educate people so that they understand what is happening to them and

help them discover if they need to consult a professional

," Carolina clarifies.

The online therapy platform has patients from provinces where it can be difficult to get an appointment with a therapist.

Other available tools are exercises, exclusive mindfulness videos, and an agenda to schedule the activities agreed upon with the therapist.

Let's talk

It is a communication campaign, within Talkit, to raise awareness about the importance of talking and conveying that problems can be solved.

It is centered on a universal insight that means that when something happens to us, worries or anguishes us, we feel that we are "taken" by those emotions and we are unable to see reality clearly.

"We isolate ourselves in our own thoughts and miss out on what really matters: enjoying life by being present and connected with the people around us," Carolina insists.

And she closes: "For this reason, we raise various

problems that can be resolved through therapy

and that we translate into what is happening to you has a solution. Let's talk."
