To journalist Derek Blasberg (the stars' best friend, by the way), she insists that the 59-year-old Amazon founder is an inspiration to her.
“He's so happy, he inspires me every day, he makes me a better person every day;
he is the most loving human that I know”, she shares in her first interview with the press since the formalization of her relationship with Jeff Bezos.
Then to praise his philanthropy: “Jeff has always told me, since I have known him, that he was going to give the majority of his money to philanthropy.
This is not at all a surprise to me.
He just never felt the need to say it."

Officially in a relationship since 2019, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez now form a blended family.
From his marriage to Mackenzie Scott, he has four children;
she first had a son, Nikko, born in 2001 from her romance with former American football player Tony Gonzalez, then Evan (born in 2006) and Ella (born in 2008), two children she had with celebrity agent Patrick Whitesell.
Together, they all lead an (almost) normal life, out of sight, in a huge villa in Beverly Hills.
“On a typical Saturday, we hang out, we have dinner with the kids, which is always fun because you never know where the conversation is going to go with so many kids,” Lauren Sánchez tells

One for the other
Still in her confidences to Derek Blasberg, Lauren Sánchez admits to having been seduced by the sound – somewhat original – of Jeff Bezos.
"The first time I heard her laugh, I was like, 'Wow! What is that?'
Now, I love it, ”admits the former journalist who says she can no longer do without her companion.
“It's the greatest experience I've ever had.
I have always had a very separate career from my partner,” she explains.
"I think now I can work with my partner and be with him all the time... We like being together and we like working together."
Jeff Bezos, who resigned as CEO of Amazon in July 2021 to focus on his space company Blue Origin, is also said to devote a lot of time to Lauren Sánchez.
"He helps me with the book," confirms the main interested party, who is currently writing a children's book.
For his part, he trains to fly.
“He is getting his pilot's license.
We fly together.
We train together.
We are together all the time.”

Forced formalization
It's a mind-boggling story that eventually led Jeff Bezos, on February 7, 2019 (one month after the announcement of his divorce), to confirm his relationship with Lauren Sánchez.
In a column published on medium.com, the boss of Amazon at that time, the tech boss actually said he was the victim of blackmail by a scandalous magazine, the

.
The object of the blackmail?
Exchanges of explicit erotic SMS and intimate photos, supposedly showing the leader in his simplest form, erect, or his lover, in suggestive postures.
Since then, the
Wall Street Journal
led the investigation and the culprit was none other than… Michael Sánchez, Lauren's brother and manager.
The dishonest will in any case have allowed Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez to display their love in broad daylight.
