(ANSA) - CARRARA, JAN 26 - "The Italian authorities have designated the distant port of Carrara to disembark survivors rescued by Ocean Viking. It is 1,500 km away from the area of operations, which involve a three-day navigation and expose women, men and children in waves, rain, wind and cold".
The NGO SosMediterranée writes it in a tweet, which in the last few hours has rescued 95 migrants in the Mediterranean.
The NGO ship Ocean Viking of Sos Méditerranée will call at the port of Marina di Carrara on Sunday afternoon with 95 migrants on board embarked off the coast of Libya.
"Of these 95 people, 15 are women, 38 minors, 33 of whom are unaccompanied", explains the mayor of Carrara, Serena Arrighi.
