Anna Sorokin has been spreading her dream of her own entertainment show on television for a long time.
Now things seem to be taking shape.
Several media reports that the 32-year-old is working with the production company Butternut on the implementation of a reality format.
In it she wants to invite celebrities to dinner.
Delvey's Dinner Club, named after her former alias, is set to take place in Sorokin's East Village apartment.
A shoot in the studio or elsewhere would not be possible at the moment – Sorokin is under house arrest for violating visa requirements.
She must wear an electronic ankle bracelet.
According to a report by the celebrity site Page Six, Sorokin wants to welcome stars and starlets to talk to them about one topic in particular: Anna Sorokin.
It is said to be about their experiences in the justice system, their efforts to polish their image, their plans for the future or their isolation under house arrest.
There is nothing like bringing a select group of friends together to share life and enjoy a great dining experience, Sorokin is quoted as saying.
Their preferred guests include Madonna, Elon Musk, the American Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas and the crypto banker Sam Bankman-Fried.
Inviting the latter might be difficult - Bankman-Fried is awaiting trial on financial fraud and money laundering charges and is currently wearing an ankle bracelet himself.
Sorokin was sentenced to a long prison term in the United States in 2019 for fraud, from which she was released after two years for good behavior.
The native Russian, who came to Germany as a teenager and is a German citizen, had previously posed as a rich German heiress in New York and wooed investors with the idea of building an exclusive club.
Using the pseudonym Anna Delvey, she managed to get tens of thousands of dollars in loans from various banks, travel for free on private planes and live in luxury hotels in Manhattan for months without paying the bills, through clever lying and self-confidence.
She also attempted to start a hybrid nightclub and art gallery while borrowing $22 million.
For this, Sorokin used fake documents.
Netflix adapted Sorokin's dazzling life story into a series entitled Inventing Anna.
Shortly after her release from prison last year, Sorokin was arrested again because her US visa had expired.
A decision is still pending as to whether it will be extradited to Germany.
Most recently, Sorokin wants to have earned money with the sale of self-designed works of art.
