An American girl revealed online how she discovered that the person who raised her and she was sure was her father was actually not her biological father.
She made the life-changing discovery following a message she received from a stranger who suggested she take a DNA test, the New York Post reported.
In a number of videos she uploaded to Tiktok, the young woman named Lane shared her amazing story.
She said that it all started as mentioned after last year she received a text message from an unknown number from a guy who encouraged her to take a paternity test.
"That message changed my life forever," she said in the three-minute video, "A year ago I got a message telling me to do a DNA test. I thought it was fake, I went on Facetime with my friend and she told me that her gut told her it was real. I called my mom Mine and I said to her 'What the hell?!'"

The conversation with her mother changed everything.
She immediately admitted that she had an affair with a 25-year-old while she was doing her degree in education at the age of 35. The mother admitted that the man who raised Lane was not her biological father.
"I almost fell off my chair," Lane added in another video. "My mom had an affair with a guy 10 years her junior when she was in college. It was a one-off, but he even saw her pregnant on campus and said, 'Is that mine?'
And she denied it."
Lane did a DNA test through a company that reveals your family tree and after six weeks she got the answers.

"I found out yes, this man is my dad. So I immediately texted him and it turned out he lives in California. He's British, what the hell?", she grumbled.
"He said that my mother sent him a Christmas card when I was two years old and she told him what my name was and he searched for my name on Google ever since. In 2007 my name popped up and he saw a picture of me and he knew right away that I was his daughter."

Lane claims that her biological father emailed her mother to be in contact with her, but she threatened him and asked him not to get close to them and since then he has not made contact.
Although the biological father did not make contact, he followed Lane on social media.

Lane's first video garnered 10.5 million views, as followers were shocked by her story and asked for more details.
In another video, Lane revealed that her biological father once called her at work to ask when the place closed in hopes of hearing her voice.
And if you were wondering, then this exciting discovery caused a major crisis in the relationship between Lane and her mother and she simply decided to cut ties with her because she lied to her.
Lane told anyone wondering in another video that it wasn't her biological father who sent the text messages that revealed the story, but his nephew, who found himself going through a similar experience.
After that she went to visit her biological father - "I was there for about five days. We met once or twice a day to hang out and go out to eat or something and every time I felt like I was getting information out of him and I just felt like he didn't love me," she shared.
"I was fine until the last day, and then I got really excited because I guess I was hoping that on the last day it would be different, and when it wasn't - it was just hard."
In the last update she posted she also explained that the father who raised her didn't talk to her about it, but he knew she wasn't his biological daughter.
"I feel like I have two fathers now, which is a good thing."
She concluded in a good spirit.
