It is true that Pantone's chosen color of the year for 2023 is "Viva Magenta" from the red family, but it turns out that the designers and fashion houses, who are currently presenting the new spring-summer collection at European fashion weeks, have a different plan in mind.
Code Name: Dark Orchid.
This is a color that may deceive, is it a bright purple?
Or purple with a touch of deep blue?
Well, all the answers are correct.
What also and a lot depends on the lighting that damages the garment or the angle of the photograph.

You can go from casual to glam with it, the secret is in the doses.
Either way, this gorgeous color, ranging from purples to bright blues, will definitely take center stage next season, which is already around the corner (hello for spring!).
Because Dark Orchid is so versatile, it's actually the perfect color for transitional seasons.
And already these days our radar has spotted a number of stars who embrace the color in question, the play between warm and cold - which is part of what makes it an intriguing and fine lacquer.
From Amareta, the top model and author, who is the new face of the fashion house Versace in the new spring-summer campaign, to the singer-rapper Doja Kat who came to the Jean Paul Gaultier show in a silly purple-blue ensemble (which, by the way, is the most "relaxed" look " that we have seen from her so far during Haute Couture week in Paris, which ends today).

Amarta, aka Emily Ratajkowski, entrepreneur, top model, podcaster and writer (who has known a drama or two in the past year), is Versace's new gothic goddess, starring in the Spring-Summer 2023 campaign. The core themes that form the basis of the campaign are words Like "goth", "slash", "impulsive".
The Versace woman is strong and always the leader of the pack, and this season "I love her in black or bold colors and powerful silhouettes," explains designer Donatella Versace in a press release.
As such, the color "Dark Orchid" will come and go which Pierre blends in great with the concept.
In the video for the campaign, which is already circulating in every good part of the Insta feed, Amarta wears a total look in this bold and beautiful color: a sexy corset dress, a bag, sandals, gloves and even a hinoma!
In other shots in the campaign, the supermodel, who does not hesitate to speak her mind, wears a button-down shirt in the color in question or carries a small "Greca Goddess" bag

The haute couture week in Paris does end today (26/01), but the show is not over until it is over, and Doge Kat proves it from Day One.
The extravagant singer and rapper arrived at the Jean Paul Gaultier show in one of her more "relaxed" looks.
Kat wore a purple leather dress (which in some of the photos looks, of course, blue), knee length.
The edgy silhouette included a turtleneck, a wide belt and extra volume in the hips.
Of course the talent had to stand out somehow, so she did it by nibbling on a bunch of juicy grapes, all while filming of course.
Doge Kat delivers the show in a purple/blue leather dress, and a cluster of grapes that goes with the on-point look!
