Two men in Berazategui died after eating spoiled meat:
Shigella and salmonella
were detected .
Due to these cases of contaminated meat, the municipal authorities
closed the butcher shop
that sold the offal.
But in addition, they came to the crossroads of the versions that circulated through networks that it was a new virus.
"It is false", they categorically denied and specified "the bacteria that were found were detected and there is nothing new about them".
According to the report provided by police sources, the victims were
36 and 48 years old.
And there were five days difference between one case and another.
The first occurred on January 12, and the second, on the 17th. Both were treated at the Evita Pueblo Hospital in that town in the southeast of the suburbs.
"Both were admitted with a picture of
diarrhea and vomiting
, with subsequent unfavorable evolution," they indicated from the Hospital.

Based on these cases, an investigation was initiated in which it was confirmed that the victims had consumed, in the days prior to the appearance of the symptoms,
infected meat and offal
.
It was detected that in both cultures there was the presence of Shigella and salmonella: bacteria that are usually found in the intestine of infected people and that are transmitted by ingesting food or water contaminated by an infected person.
The Department of Bromatology of the Municipality of Berazategui proceeded to take samples of merchandise from the shops in the area and they were sent for analysis to the National Service for Agro-Food Health and Quality (SENASA) and the National Food Institute (INAL).
After the results, one of the butcher shops was closed due to
lack of hygiene measures.
They found that this place had sold the meat that caused both deaths.
For its part, the Ministry of Public Health and Municipal Hygiene reported that there is no increase in cases of diarrhea in the Primary Health Care Centers (CAPS).
Meanwhile, the Evita Pueblo Hospital did not detect an increase in patients admitted with these symptoms either.
"From the Evita Pueblo Hospital, the population is asked to remember the importance of respecting hygiene and care measures in food handling, the conservation of its cold chain and correct and frequent hand washing," they reported.
In turn, the Municipality of Berazategui reported that it will find out where the false news of "a new virus" that multiplied on the networks came from, and will file a criminal complaint.
