US GDP +2.9% in the fourth quarter, above expectations

The American economy grew by 2.1% in 2022, thanks to the stability of consumption and despite inflation (ANSA)


 The US economy slows down and grows by 2.9% in the fourth quarter, less than the +3.2% recorded in the previous three months but above the expectations of analysts who were betting on +2.6%.

In the first six months of 2022, the American economy had contracted, recording a GDP down by 1.6% in the first quarter and by 0.6% in the second.



The American economy grew by 2.1% in 2022, thanks to the stability of consumption and despite inflation and interest rate hikes.
