At least eight Palestinian dead: this is the toll of violent clashes with the Israeli army in Jenin, in the north of the West Bank.
This was announced by the local health ministry, quoted by the Palestinian media.
The Israeli army entered Jenin in force today to "capture a prominent terrorist," Israeli military radio reported.
"A massacre carried out by the Israeli occupation government in international silence", was the reply of Nabil Abu Rudeinah, spokesman for President Abu Mazen.
