A cyclist was fatally injured in an accident with a truck in Hanover.
The police are now investigating the driver for hit-and-run and negligent homicide.
The police said he hit the 59-year-old with his truck and dragged her about 700 meters.
According to previous findings of the traffic accident service in Hanover, the 54-year-old truck driver turned right on Thursday when he hit the woman driving in the same direction on the cycle path with his van.
The woman was dragged about 700 meters to a company site.
She died there from her severe injuries.
Police officers found the driver on site, a police spokeswoman told SPIEGEL.
The hit-and-run investigation is based on the fact that he continued driving after the accident.
The man is said not to have noticed that he hit the woman.
It is the subject of the investigation to find out what led to this.
