Italy again on the podium at the European ice figure skating championship in Espoo.
Matteo Rizzo won the silver medal in the men's event, where three Azzurri finished in the top ten.
Silver that comes after the historic first and second place in the pairs test.
The athlete of the Fiamme Azzurre finished with 259.92 (a single mistake on the initial quadruple toe loop) behind the Frenchman Adam Siao Him Fa (267.77).
However, Rizzo obtained the highest score in the free program (173.46), even higher than that of the transalpine (171.24).
Rizzo, already bronze in Minsk in 2019, thus becomes the second Italian in history to win more than one medal at the European Championships in the men's race.
In the past, Carlo Fassi had managed the feat, five times on the continental podium between 1950 and 1954.
The dance competition has also got underway: the couple formed by Charléne Guignard and Marco Fabbri in fact present themselves at the appointment continental favorite.
And they are in fact in the lead after finishing in Rhythm Danc with the best technical score and tomorrow they will be hunting for the continental title.
