(ANSA) - BAKU, JAN 27 - One person died and two others were injured in an attack by armed men this morning on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Azerbaijan has condemned this morning's "terrorist" attack on its Tehran embassy and ordered its evacuation, arguing that Iran is "responsible" for the attack.
"All responsibility for the attack rests with Iran," Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Ayxan Hacizada told local media, adding that the Iranian media's recent anti-Azerbaijani campaign had "encouraged the attack."
Iran, home to millions of Azeris, has long accused its neighbor of fomenting separatist sentiment on its territory.
