In a TikTok video, a young woman tells what she experienced while shopping in a Kaufland branch.
“I went shopping and then there was a little grandma.
She was really cute," she begins.
The elderly lady tried to get an oat milk that was at the top of the shelf and she helped her.
"Then she said thank you and said: Yes man, now I can only buy a liter of milk," reports the TikToker.

What the old lady then said to the woman brought tears to her eyes: "Then she looked at me and said: 'It would be best if you fell asleep and didn't wake up again.'" This statement shocked her badly.
"Because of a purchase, because you can't afford something, to think about dying — it's really hard," she says, lost.
The TikToker tried to comfort the woman and give her courage.
The elderly lady thanked her for that and repeated again that she could hardly afford anything and was even starving.
"I was so very sorry.
Why do we have billions for war, which is none of our business, but no money for our elderly who need it?” asks the woman in the clip.
