How exactly it happened is difficult to say: But a plane operated by the Indian airline flew from Bengalore to Delhi almost three weeks ago, but without some of the passengers who were waiting in a bus for the flight.
Now the airline has to pay the equivalent of around 11,000 euros.
This was ordered by the Indian Civil Aviation Authority, as reported by Indian media.
The ground staff and the crew of the airline's machine had misunderstood each other, it said.
A total of four buses were used to bring passengers to flight G8 116.
Only one was stopped for reasons that have not yet been clarified.
In it sat 55 people with boarding passes - but only their checked suitcases made it into the machine.
53 of the stranded passengers had been rebooked on later flights of other companies, Go First announced at the time.
The other two would have had their fare refunded.
