(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, JAN 27 - "In Ukraine we are dealing with the highest number of war crimes in history and this is because we started investigating very early, it had never happened before".
This was stated by Didier Reynders, European Commissioner for Justice, at the end of the informal Council meeting in Stockholm.
"We must prevent these crimes from going unpunished and there are various possibilities", he said referring to the hypothesis of an "international" or "hybrid" court.
"Whatever is decided, it is crucial that there is the widest international recognition" and at the UN general assembly, the EU countries must have "a single voice".
