One person was arrested after the riots during an anarchists' demonstration in Rome in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito.

After a brief contact between demonstrators and the police, following a throwing of objects and tear gas, one officer was injured.

The demonstrators, about sixty, gathered in Piazza Trilussa to express solidarity with Alfredo Cospito, who has been on hunger strike for 101 days to protest against the 41 bis law issued against him for 4 years.

A small group of demonstrators tried to force the cordon set up by the police but was rejected by the police in riot gear.

Some bottles and smoke bombs were thrown, but then the situation returned to normal.

One officer was injured.

The demonstrators, around 150 in all, are now flowing out.

ANARCHIST OFFENSIVE FOR COSPITO, ACTIONS IN ITALY AND OUTSIDE

Anarchist offensive - in Italy and abroad - in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito, who has been on hunger strike for 101 days in the prison of Sassari.

If the 41 bis has interrupted for more than 3 months the 55-year-old's communications with the outside world - among the 'minds' of the informal anarchist federation - from the outside world his comrades continue to send him signs of closeness: writings, banners, marches and garrisons , but also arson attacks against diplomatic offices.

After the attack in Athens on 2 December against the first adviser of the embassy Susanna Schlein, today the car of an official of the Italian embassy in Berlin was targeted, while the consulate in Barcelona was hit.

It is the culmination of the week of mobilization promoted to anarchists for "the brother and comrade" Alfredo,

as defined in a post appeared on area sites entitled 'Hic et nunc', which can be interpreted as an invitation to raise the level of confrontation, a real call to arms: "for a comrade who is being tortured and killing in their camps - we read - we did nothing. A few days of clashes with the cops will be of little use. We need the "Here and now"! Here and now a new chapter in the history of anarchists in Italy must open. Either there is anarchy or we all go home!".

The fibrillations of this galaxy are under the constant attention of intelligence and police forces.

The actions carried out were announced and followed the traditional two-level strategy: the movementist one with demonstrations and protests and the terrorist one,

with real attacks against targets associated with the struggle campaigns, in this case for the liberation of Cospito.

Another characteristic of the anarchist world is the internationalization of battles: and precisely in Greece, Germany and Spain, where the Italian diplomatic offices have been targeted, the militants of the circled A have solid relationships with their Italian comrades.

There was no shortage of initiatives on the national territory: during the night some repeater cables on a hill in Turin were set on fire: the inscription "Fuori Cospito dal 41 bis" stood out on the spot.

In Spoleto, an attempt to set fire to the gate of a businessman's villa;

even in this the claim refers to solidarity with the prisoner.

Parades took place today in Trieste - where there were tensions with the forces of order - and in Turin.

Tomorrow at 3 pm a garrison announced in front of the Sassari prison.

Meanwhile, Alfredo Cospito has reached the 101st day of his hunger strike to protest against the harsh detention to which he is subjected in Sassari, where he is serving sentences for the 2012 shooting in the legs of Ansaldo Nucleare manager Roberto Adinolfi and for the

2006 attack on the Carabinieri School of Fossano.

He has lost 40 kilos and in recent days he fell in the shower and broke his nose.

Following his worsening health conditions, the National Guarantor of persons deprived of their liberty, Mauro Palma, requested his urgent transfer.

On March 7, the discussion in the Cassation is expected on the appeal by Cospito's lawyer against the 41 bis.

On Monday, Justice Minister Carlo Nordio will answer a question on the case in the Justice Commission of the Chamber.

For his part, the undersecretary of Justice, Andrea Delmastro, defended the hard line: "the magistrates are not intimidated. The State does not bend. The special legislation against terrorism does not back down",
