The participants called for developing the school environment and making it suitable for modern learning skills, moving to green schools by 2030, preparing the teacher intellectually and skillfully, and providing him with the necessary expertise, so that he can move education from the traditional form to the effective participatory form based on projects and initiatives, solving problems and building diverse national personalities. according to their intelligence and tendencies to meet the needs of their communities.

The participants pointed out the importance of developing the pattern of classroom and extra-curricular education in line with our changing world, securing various learning opportunities and curricula that guarantee lifelong learning for all, and making universities centers of creativity, excellence and leadership to enable people to establish long-term social and economic well-being for themselves, their families and their society, in addition to the transition from forms The stereotype of universities and colleges to a participatory style based on active learning, through research and studies, identifying problems, finding appropriate solutions, enhancing the learner’s personality for decision-making and community initiative, and creating suitable job opportunities for community development.

The participants called for securing universities and schools with cadres and manpower capable and willing to transform society continuously, from one state to a better one, according to specific and sustainable development indicators, and to promote and encourage centers of excellence in various fields between pre-university and university education, and to ensure participation in building educational and educational programs. With the advanced industrial, agricultural and technological powers, to link the educational process with the needs of society and the requirements for its development.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabaa, indicated that the Ministries of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research were able to reach real networking between their educational and educational frameworks, to build capacities and build human beings scientifically, educationally and nationally.

In his turn, the representative of the Aga Khan Development Network, Ghatfan Ajoub, expressed the network's readiness for participatory work with the Ministry, especially in the field of transforming education, because it is a great goal and requires teamwork and concerted efforts.

The participants in the workshop were the deans of the College of Education, Arts and Sciences, the concerned specialist mentors, and the directors of education in the governorates. They discussed the matrix of the “Transformation in Education” project in early childhood, basic education, secondary education, and university education in Syria, stressing that transforming education leads to building an effective and safe productive society. It is economically, socially and healthily stable.

The workshop, which was held by the Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Aga Khan Development Network, and lasted for three days at the Cham Hotel in Damascus, came in implementation of the recommendations of the Education Transformation Summit held in New York with the participation of Syria, during the period between the 16th and the 19th of last September. In order to enhance the harmony between the requirements of the educational process in terms of teachers' competencies and skills on the one hand, and the academic preparation of teachers at the university level on the other hand, and the need to develop a joint action plan for cooperation between the Ministries of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research.
