Inspiring Teachers
is an initiative that recognizes and disseminates the stories of the most innovative educators in the country.
The six-episode documentary series is now
available in its entirety on Flow's On Demand.
The first season tells the stories of the winning teachers of the second edition of the contest, organized by
Clarín
and Zurich, who were interviewed by Guillermo Lobo and Paula García in a special TN program.
Damián Ortiz is one of the two Mendoza teachers recognized during this edition.
He teaches Mathematics in schools for adolescents, youth and adults in which he implements inclusive and innovative technological tools and practices.
On his YouTube channel, “Positive Math,” he uploads classes for his students and colleagues and also
broadcasts live.
On the other hand,
Miguel Mascaro
grew up in Goyena, a small town with 600 inhabitants in the province of Buenos Aires.
Through
Project Based Learning,
his students learn about various branches such as the livestock industry, one of the main economic activities of the town.
Marcelo Ranzoni
is a teacher from Buenos Aires and created Empatizando, a space within the educational community of the ORT Technical School, which seeks to motivate students to develop technological projects with social impact such as LectO, a web and mobile application for people with dyslexia.
Damian Ortiz, chosen as inspiring teachers of the year.
His story will be seen in a documentary series that will be on Flow.
Marcela Carrivale
, from the province of Santa Fe, teaches in her Physics and Chemistry classes to engage with
local problems.
The topics addressed by the students are linked, for the most part, to
caring for the environment.
Cristian Montenegro
is the second native teacher from Mendoza.
He works in two special schools in which he implements
different technologies to promote inclusion.
In addition, he developed different technological projects with international recognition and conducted training for teachers on technologies adapted for people with disabilities and for the elderly.
Lastly,
Karina Filippi
is a biology teacher at an agricultural technical school in a small town in La Pampa.
Through project-based learning, Karina has gotten her high school students involved and 'learning by doing'.
This, she assures her, favors the
acquisition of values, knowledge, new skills and abilities.
