Merseburg: Attack on migrants

According to the police, a group of seven men attacked a family with a migration background in the city of Merseburg near Halle.

The alleged perpetrators, aged between 19 and 33, initially racially insulted the three people during an argument on Saturday, a police spokesman said on Sunday.

Then there were physical attacks against the family.

Passers-by rushed to help and got involved: according to the police, they used an irritant against the attackers.

Four attackers were injured.

Medical treatment of the attacked family was not necessary.

The criminal police are investigating.
