Firefighters extinguish a fire in a pigsty in Neubörger, Lower Saxony

Another serious incident in a pig farm in Lower Saxony: 2,000 piglets died in a fire on a farm in Neubörger in Emsland on Sunday.
The police estimate the economic damage at around 3.6 million euros.
The cause of the fire is so far unclear.
On Thursday, around 2,000 piglets also died in a fire in the same pig farm.
This resulted in damage of a good 1.5 million euros.
According to initial findings, the fire broke out in the heating system and had spread to the stables.
Another stable area caught fire on Sunday.
140 firefighters responded to fight the fire.
