(ANSA) - ROME, 29 JAN - Peppino Di Capri will be a guest of the Sanremo Festival on the evening of Thursday 9 February and Gino Paoli on the final evening of Saturday 11 February.
The official announcement came from the conductor of the Amadeus Festival during Tg1.
"I wanted to pay homage to the greats of Italian music who are with us. Why have to remember them...
They are very current, they have given us unforgettable songs.
That's why I wanted them. It is the history of our music that must be applauded and embraced on the stage of the Festival", the conductor said in connection with Mara Venier on DomenicaIn, speaking of the presence at the Ariston of great Italian music artists, such as the Poohs, Al Bano, Massimo Ranieri, PeppinoDi Capri and Gino Paoli, as well as Gianni Morandi who will be co-conductor.
Amadeus was unable to reveal the name of the international guest, the female artist of Italian origins Fiorello had spoken of in his program.
