57.1% choose high schools, enrollments for technicians are growing

In the choices for the 2023/2024 school year, enrollments in technical institutes are still increasing, rising to 30.9%, compared to 30.7% last year.

Professional institutes go from 12.7% to 12.1%.

High schools remain in the lead, with their various courses, which this year are chosen by 57.1% of new students (last year they were 56.6%).

These are the first data on online enrollments for the first classes of secondary schools for the 2023/2024 school year, which will end at 20.00 this evening.

High schools continue to be preferred

by over half of enrollments with 57.1%, compared to 56.6% a year ago.

26.1% opt for scientific studies (26% a year ago).

In this area, the traditional

collects 14.1% of preferences (compared to 14% in 2022/2023).

Linguistics

from 7.4% to 7.7%.

goes from 5.5% to 4.9%.

European and international high schools collect 0.4% (0.5% a year ago), musical and dance schools go from 0.7% to 0.9%.

Enrollments for coaches rose from 30.7% to 30.9%

The Economic Sector grew, from 10.3% in 2022/2023 to 11.5%.

The main choice is that for the "Administration, Finance and Marketing" curriculum, preferred by 8.7% of male and female students, while 2.8% opt for the "Tourism" curriculum.

The Technology Sector, chosen a year ago by 20.4%, this year has 19.4% of the preferences.

In Technology, the most popular courses are "Informatics and Telecommunications" (6%), "Mechanics, Mechatronics and Energy" (2.8%) and "Chemistry, Materials and Biotechnology" (2.4%).

Enrollment in Professionals goes from 12.7% a year ago to 12.1%.

The most chosen addresses are "Enogastronomy and Hotel Hospitality" (4%), "Maintenance and Technical Assistance" and "Health and Social Assistance Services" (both at 1.6%) and "Commercial Services" (1 .3%).

Three confirmations for the Regions with the highest number of enrollments in high schools, technical institutes and professional institutes.

Lazio (69.7% for high schools), Veneto (38.8% for technicians) and Emilia-Romagna (15.6% for professionals) are respectively again this year.

In primary school, 48.4% of families ask for full-time work (for a total of 40 hours per week)

On average, over 92% of users are satisfied with how online registration works, both for the simplicity of the procedure and for the time saved.

To access the online procedure it was necessary to have a digital identity: Spid (Public Digital Identity System), Cie (Electronic Identity Card) or eIdas (electronic IDentification authentication and signature).

The "Online registration" system will allow families to follow the registration application process in real time, not only via e-mail and the dedicated portal, but also via notifications from the Io App, the public services app.
