Lucio Dupuy's father called a mobilization for the day of the sentence: "Let the request for justice be heard loudly"

2023-01-30T17:23:34.537Z

Cristian Dupuy maintained that on Thursday, when the verdict against the defendants is known, the true duel for the crime of his 5-year-old son will begin.

Cristian Dupuy, the father of Lucio Dupuy,

called this Monday a rally in the courts of La Pampa

where the verdict against the child's mother, Magdalena Espósito Valenti, will be announced on Thursday, February 2;

and her partner, Abigail Páez;

both accused and arrested for the murder of the 5-year-old boy.

In a message that he shared on social networks, the father of the murdered child called for a concentration so that the Santa Rosa Court of Hearing "listens loudly to the request for justice."

"This February 2 when I am in that room waiting for the verdict of the judges, I want to hear them outside, that the request for justice be heard very loudly. Because that day more than any other I will need the strength of all of you... that day , it will be the day that I have to let him go … That day the duel begins, "wrote Cristian.

The message from Lucio Dupuy's father two days after the verdict for his son's crime is known.

And he closed the message: "I need you on February 2 in the judicial city of Santa Rosa."

Ramón Dupuy, Lucio's grandfather, spoke this Sunday with

Clarín

and pointed against justice, considering that they signed a "death sentence" when they gave custody to the mother.

“I told the judge (Pérez Ballester) that she was making a mistake.

And that in five to six years,

if he did not reverse his decision, Lucio was going to be selling drugs ”

, Ramón Dupuy recalls the message that he sent to the judge through the lawyer.

It pointed to what Lucio's mother, Magdalena, and his girlfriend Abigail, published on the networks, where they admitted their consumption.

“But it was worse.

He actually signed the death warrant, ”says Ramón.

The anger with the decisions made by the Justice has to do with the fact that they

never did a socio-environmental study on Lucio's mother.

“In the first stage, she couldn't have Lucio because he didn't work.

We helped her.

Later she left him with us and when she went backpacking she left him with Maximiliano (her other son of hers, Christian's brother)”, she recalls.

“When this happened, they did socio-environmental studies on Maxi.

But later, when she wanted to have Lucio again, they did nothing," Ramón remarked.

When is the case resolved?

Judge Alejandra Ongaro and judges Andrés Olié and Daniel Sáez Zamora

will lead the hearing at 12 that day,

in which they will decide whether the defendants are "guilty" or "not guilty" of the crime of "qualified homicide and outrageous sexual abuse." .

The penalty will not be announced that day,

but in a subsequent hearing, although if the court accepts the arguments of the Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF), the only one that will correspond to the defendants is life imprisonment.

In the event that the Court assesses the evidence in another way, it

has 15 days to make the sentence known.

Judicial sources informed Télam that, although in Santa Rosa it is usual for verdicts to be made known in writing, in this case it was arranged to read it at the hearing, to which the parties were summoned and to which the press will have access.

It

is not yet confirmed if the defendants will be present

in the Pampas court or if they will await the decision in the San Luis prison where they are being held, the spokesmen added.

Lucio was beaten to death on November 26, 2021 at the house on Allan Kardec Street at 2300 in the city of Santa Rosa, where he lived with his mother and her partner.
