It is a rather unusual place to give life.
This Sunday morning, a baby uttered his first cry inside a TGV which linked Paris to Strasbourg - bound for Germany -, reports France Bleu on Monday.
The mother had contractions during her trip and the train was therefore stopped at the Lorraine TGV station, located in Louvigny (Moselle), around 8 am for almost 1h30, reports the Republican Lorrain.
In good health
A medical team was able to board and little Felix was born around 9:10 a.m.
In the process, "the mother and the child were taken care of by the firefighters and taken to a hospital", detailed the SNCF to the local newspaper.
Both are in good health, firefighters said.
The train passengers resumed their journey at 9:30 a.m., with a rather unusual anecdote to justify their delay.
However, this is not the first time that a mother has given birth on a train.
In 2019, for example, little Kylian was born on board a Ouigo going from Paris to Strasbourg.
At the time, however, the mother of the family had to rely on a midwife and a doctor who were fortunately on board.
