He tore a hundred meters of guardrail with him and came to a standstill across the road: On the Autobahn 7 near Hamburg-Heimfeld there was a serious accident with a truck early Monday morning.
The truck drove into the crash barrier for reasons that are still unclear.
There were kilometers of traffic jams on the A7 and the A261 in the morning rush hour.
The driver of the truck was not injured, and no other vehicles were involved in the accident, a police spokesman said.
The truck tore a hundred meters of guard rail in the incident, it said.
The rescue measures continued, which is why the freeway was completely closed to the north.
