(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 30 - Filming is underway for the fourth and final season of the Rai-HBO series L'AMICA GENIALE.
The fourth season is based on "Story of the Lost Child", the fourth book which closes the tetralogy by Elena Ferrante, published in Italy by Edizioni E/O.
A production of Fandango, TheApartment, Fremantle Italy and Wildside with Lorenzo Mieli who produces for Fremantle Italy, The Apartment and Wildside (both companies of the Fremantle group) and Domenico Procacci for Fandango, in collaboration with Rai Fiction and HBO Entertainment.
The cast has been completely renewed, starring Alba Rohrwacher in the role of Elena Greco (Lenù), Irene Maiorino in the role of Lila Cerullo and Fabrizio Gifuni in the role of NinoSarratore.
The story and the screenplays are by Elena Ferrante, Francesco Piccolo, Laura Paolucci and Saverio Costanzo.
This season is directed by Laura Bispuri and the executive producers are Saverio Costanzo, Paolo Sorrentino, Jennifer Schuur, Elena Recchia and Guido De Laurentiis.
