The Pope's warning: "Doping makes sport dirty"

"Sport must promote healthy competition, without falling into the temptation to win by trampling on the rules. Sacrifice, training, rigor are essential elements of sport, while the practice of doping, in addition to being dangerous, is a deception that takes away beauty and amusement to the game, staining it with falsehood and making it dirty".

Pope Francis said this when he received the Italian Volleyball Federation in an audience in the Vatican.
