The American actress Lisa Loring, who played Wednesday Addams in the original series "The Addams Family" which aired in the mid-sixties, passed away last night (Sunday) at the age of 64, in a hospital in California.
According to reports, Ketha Loring suffered a severe stroke a few days ago, and after it was determined that she suffered from irreversible brain damage, it was eventually decided to disconnect her from the ventilator to which she was connected.
Lori Jacobson, the deceased actress' best friend, wrote on Facebook that "It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of our friend, Lisa Loring. Four days ago she suffered a stroke caused by smoking and high blood pressure. She was on a ventilator for three days, and yesterday they received Her family members made the difficult decision to disconnect her from the device. She passed away last night."
Jacobson added that "she will always be engraved in the fabric of pop culture and in our hearts as Waynesday Addams. As mentioned, Lisa Loring played Wednesday Addams, the daughter of the famous morbid family, in the first live action series that was based on the brand and was broadcast on American television between 1964 and 1966 and included 64 episodes.
