It was in an internal email to the editorial staff of RTL that Jacques Esnous, director of information for the radio since 2004, announced his departure from the station with the red logo.
After 19 years in this position and 36 at RTL,
“Jacques Esnous has decided to take a new direction, but he will always remain close to the M6 group”
, specifies Emmanuel Fouenant, director of communication for the group.
He will remain a consultant for M6 for two years.

The 66-year-old journalist will leave RTL on March 18:
“I will be doing a long farewell tour
,” he jokes, referring to Michel Sardou.
Frank Moulin, current editorial director of the station, will succeed him as director of information and will combine the two functions.
RTL is France's second-largest radio station with a cumulative audience of 10.3% and 5.7 million listeners last November/December according to Médiamétrie.
