(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 31 - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is revising its 2023 estimates for Italy upwards.
After +3.9% in 2022, Italian GDP is expected to grow by 0.6% this year, or 0.8 percentage points more than the October forecasts and more than Germany (+0.1%).
For 2024, Italian growth is estimated at +0.9%, 0.4 percentage points less than in October.
World economic growth slows down in 2023 but turns out to be better than expected.
After +3.4% in 2022, GDP is expected to curb this year at +2.9%, or 0.2 percentage points more than the October estimates.
The IMF expects global growth of 3.1% for 2024 (-0.1 points).
