A drunk man threw his dog from the fifth floor of a house in Strasbourg, France.
Although veterinarians quickly took care of the two-year-old bulldog, it had to be euthanized due to fractures and internal injuries, the police said on Tuesday.
After the act the day before, the owner was arrested and put in the drunk tank.
He now has to answer to the court in summary proceedings on Wednesday, as the investigators said.
The act happened in the Neuhof district of Strasbourg.
A passer-by saw the dog fly off the balcony onto the street on Monday morning, according to the newspaper Les Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace.
The fire brigade, which came to rescue the dog, called the police, who took the suspect out of the apartment.
