Black in the eye:

After years of poor health, Ozzy Osbourne officially announced today (Wednesday) the cancellation of his upcoming concert tour, which was planned to take place throughout Europe.

"This is probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to share with my loyal fans," the Prince of Darkness opened his message to the media, which he shared on his social networks.

"As you know, four years ago I had a serious accident in which my spine was damaged," the former singer of the heavy rock band Black Sabbath will remind his fans of the fall at his home in Los Angeles, which at the time required complex neck surgery.

"The only goal that stood before my eyes at that time was to return to the stage," he shared, noting that although he was physically injured, his voice remained as it was.

"After three surgeries, stem cell treatments, never-ending physical therapy treatments and even cybernex treatment (a new and expensive treatment that uses a kind of electrical device that allows the movement of limbs that have experienced an injury), my body is still physically weak," he described his ailments.

"I am thrilled by the way you have patiently held on to the tickets you purchased for all this time," he added, "but with all the good will, I understand that I will not be able to hold this tour, because I know that I will not be able to handle the travel and flights," he said candidly.

"Believe me that the thought of letting my fans down completely 'knocks' me off, far beyond what you can ever imagine. I never imagined that this is how my days of concerts would end."

The singer also added that he and his team are working on formulating ideas that will allow him to perform in places that will not require moving from city to city and country to country.

"I would like to thank my family, the band, the team, the old friends, Judas Priest (the British heavy metal band he was supposed to perform with), and of course my fans for their commitment, loyalty and never-ending support, for giving me the life I've never had I didn't think I would have them.

I love you guys," the wild rocker concluded his words.

The 74-year-old Osborne was the provocative and wild singer of the successful British band Black Sabbath.

In recent years, he has suffered from poor health, among other things from Parkinson's disease, which he was diagnosed with in 2003, but which he confirmed only in 2020.

Last year he underwent complex surgery on his neck and spine.

Last September, his 13th album, "Patient Number 9", was released, for which he received no less than 4 Grammy nominations.
