Tottenham have announced Antonio Conte will undergo surgery to have his gallbladder removed.
The 53-year-old Italian coach has suffered from strong abs in recent days and after careful medical evaluation - writes the Guardian - it was decided to have surgery.
"Following a diagnosis of cholecystitis, Antonio Conte will undergo surgery to remove his gallbladder, and will return after a recovery period," read the statement released by Tottenham.
It is not specified how soon Conte will be able to return to coaching, although it seems certain that he will miss the next Premier League home match against Manchester City on Sunday.
