(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, JAN 31 - Three Haitian-Americans and a Colombian citizen have been accused in the United States of being involved in the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse of Haiti in 2021, the US Department of Justice has announced.
The indictment, more than 18 months after the events, exposed a vast conspiracy to kill the Haitian leader and seize power, backed by an unnamed former Haitian Supreme Court judge, Colombian mercenaries, and backed by a clandestine arms shipment from the U.S. .
