(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, FEBRUARY 01 - "We have to face the issue of secondary movements. But responsibility and solidarity must be faced together and European solidarity must be stronger".

This was stated by the president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen to the European Parliament, underlining how, under the voluntary relocation mechanism, at the moment 8,000 transfer promises have been registered and only 400 have actually been made.

"Solidarity cannot be only on paper," she added.
