Strong tension on the war front in Ukraine.
The US would be ready to send
new longer-range missiles to
support the Ukrainian resistance but Moscow warns Washington that the new supply will lead to a military escalation.
According to some media citing Reuters,
the United States is preparing more than 2 billion dollars in military aid for Ukraine
which is expected to include long-range rockets for the first time, as well as other munitions and weapons.
Military aid, according to two American leaders, should be announced as early as this week.
They should include support equipment for Patriot air defense systems, remotely guided precision munitions and Javelin anti-tank weapons.
Washington's decision leads to a reaction from Russia.
The new US supplies to Ukraine, including any long-range missiles, "will not change events" on the ground but
will only contribute to aggravating the escalation.
This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov
quoted by the RIA Novosti agency.
