The industrial designer and artist Shaul Cohen excites us with his miniature models of old buildings.

The one who introduced him to me was my daughter.

He produces with great sensitivity miniature models that document existing buildings and it is fascinating to see the beauty he brings out precisely from the graceless, simplest and most Israeli buildings.

A must see gallery

We were captivated by the magic of the textile designer Tamar Barnitsky.

It's an intimate gallery in an old apartment building in the Gan El-Hayrak neighborhood in Tel Aviv and it's a must-see.

The gallery is very personal and homely - it has a sort of domestic living room, and on the table are displayed the sketchbooks that are an inspiration for me.

When I'm there I feel like I'm peeking into the books and getting right into Tamar's head.

We recommend visiting a store of a British chain called Oliver Bonas, which reminds a bit of Anthropologie.

This is a popular chain that has clothes, accessories and items for dressing the home.

The store is fun, exciting and accessible, and full of colors and textures.

It has a bit of an oriental orientation and is full of chic.

The tip for a perfect combination of colors in the space

We advocate a base of a calm tone combined with some more colorful accents, which will be reflected in the carpet, pillows, items and art, but with care not to mix too many shades. 

The color comes from the fronts of the kitchen, the carpet, the front door and the decorative pillows.

When approaching home design it is important to start from a collection of inspirations in order to formulate a personal style.

The inspiration can be found in the simplest things - seashells, dried leaves, in an old box we got from grandma.

An interesting story that you especially remember

We took on several big projects and at the same time we both planned to expand the family.

We agreed that Hadas would get pregnant first and I would follow her, so that we could deal with the pressure at work, but in the end the coordination went wrong and we found ourselves pregnant at the same time, hopping between construction sites with a pregnant belly.
