Ushri Cohen, who joined the series "Hanshi" broadcast on HOT, plays the character of Oz - Hanshi's vague fantasy.
The two met when she was young in New York.
It was her first time, an event that would eventually become traumatic for her, and enter gray and deceptive areas.
In the episode that will be broadcast tonight (Thursday), Hanshi will confront Oz, but while in most series and movies the representation of rape is violent - this time it is different.
Hanshi and Oz have known each other for a long time, and even had a long sexual relationship.
They open the series with a vague fantasy where they kiss on a tank, and at the end we realize that Oz is the reason for everything that happens in her head and body, and for the whole process she goes through.
"We don't see a rape scene in the series, and connect with the two characters many years later," Cohen recalls the scene.
"They bring up the memory and talk about exactly what was there, and looking back is in retrospect. Both are trying to understand what exactly was there, both on his part and on her part, who exaggerated and who didn't."
Playing rape is challenging and complex. Is it easier to talk about rape?
"Complexity also exists in speech, and here specifically we are talking about a conversation that takes place after many years. Talking about something after a long time, when water has passed in the river, is a playful challenge. My professional experience was fascinating in this place, because an actor always needs a big secret to work with, and in this scene there is A secret that they both want to open, or not to open, and from that point of view it was a fun job."

Most of the rape scenes are unambiguous, and here they are full of gray areas, as in our society in recent years.
"Mi-To beats an entire orchestra of films and series, and I think that the harassment and rape have also come to the fore. In general, this series has sparks of very contemporary, cheeky and kick-ass writing, which deals with many topics that are taboo. It has a lot about the ultra-orthodox world versus desire of Hanshi to be free, and she slaughters a lot of sacred cows. So is her wound, which she deals with in a very original way, and like any good drama, these are gray areas, and it reflects our lives."
You finished filming a series called "The Head" for Lekesh, how was it there?
"'We finished a week ago, and I had a lot of fun. It's a series written by Ron Leshem, who also wrote 'Beaufort,' where I played a role that is a big sign in my career. Now we've collaborated again, and I hope for many more years, because he's an amazing writer."
