In the provinces of Reggio Calabria, Milan, Messina, Bari and in Florida (United States), the agents of the Central Anti-Crime Service and of the Anti-Crime Division of the Reggio Calabria Police Headquarters are carrying out a seizure order of assets, corporate assets and financial relationships, for a total value of 45 million euros, believed to be attributable to two entrepreneurial brothers active in the construction and real estate brokerage sector.
"The Central Anti-Crime Directorate of the State Police has been implementing for years a strategy aimed at targeting the illicit assets accumulated by the mafias, using both criminal seizures and asset prevention measures", the words of the central anti-crime director of the State Police, Francesco Messina.
Since 2019, it is explained, assets worth over 650 million euros have been seized throughout the national territory from the 'Ndrangheta alone, which according to the police is the most dangerous mafia organization, both from a military and economic point of view.
"Thanks to the operational synergy between traditional investigations and patrimonial investigations, the fight against mafia organizations does not stop at the military apparatus - and therefore the repression of crimes such as extortion and arms and drug trafficking - but affects the wealth accumulated thanks to the activities crimes, functional to the very survival of criminal organizations".
