• "Shabbat keepers in Israel will not be shot down during my shift": the activity of the "Israeli Shabbat" project will be stopped

• "There is no culture on Shabbat, but you will pay taxes": even though the storm is quiet - the players are protesting

According to Haim Bibbs, chairman of the local government center: "We made a decision to support the program and bridge the time of its transfer to the Ministry of Heritage out of the great importance we see in its continued operation.

The 'Israeli Shabbat' program makes about one hundred heritage sites, located mainly in the periphery, accessible to all residents of the State of Israel.

We call on the Israeli government to make the transfer and the budget for the continuation of the program's activities to the ministry entrusted with it this month.

There is no reason to harm the large majority of the country's residents who enjoy cultural activities even on the weekend."

Earlier, Anat Nissim, director of the Osishkin House Museum in Kibbutz Dan, told "Israel Hayom" that "the Shabbat Israeli project was a game-changer for us and for many heritage sites. Thanks to it, we were able to hire high-quality people for training sessions and receiving audiences, improve the visitor experience, upgrade the activity and maintain Communal record events for the public from the region and beyond. The Israeli Shabbat project was, for us, the sign that we are a normal, united state that respects the wishes of all the tribes in the nation and allows us to exist according to 'live and let live'."

According to her, "Heritage sites and museums cannot exist only from the entrance fees of those who come to their gates and cannot compete with all the surrounding attractions. Heritage and culture cannot be the property of only those who have them because 'a nation that does not know its past, its present is poor and its future is full of fog.'" .
