(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, FEBRUARY 02 - The Political and Security Committee of the EU (Cops) has given the green light to the new European assistance measure for Niger, in the framework of the European Peace Facility (EPF), connected to the military partnership mission .
It is worth around 40 million euros and Italy will be responsible for implementing the measure through the Defense Industries Agency (AID).
ANSA learns it from European diplomatic sources.
It is the first time that Italy would assume this role.
The command of the EU military mission should also go to Italy.
