Samsung unveils in San Francisco, for the first time after three years in attendance, the new range of its top-of-the-range smartphones now in the S23 generation and the new Galaxy Book laptops with Windows.

Smartphones are the competitors of the iPhone and focus on the enhancement of the photographic sector and on sustainability.

Increase the price especially of the higher-end models.

Galaxy S23 Galaxy, S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra - these are the names of the entire range - have a design similar to that of the previous generation but with new features under the body.

First of all, a camera on the Ultra that boasts a 200 megapixel sensor, capable of improving shots even at night with non-optimal light conditions.

More generally, the camera thanks to the Nightopgraphy function, which uses transformative AI "creates cinematic-level videos", explains the company.

There are technical but also sustainable innovations: the Galaxy S23 Ultra increases the presence of recycled materials in the phone manufacturing process.

They were of six types on the Galaxy S22 now they become twelve.

Recycled materials include glass plastic and aluminum.

"We have partnered with Royal DSM, an organization that collects discarded fishing nets off the coasts of the Indian Ocean and transforms them into polyamide resin pellets - says Samsung - We work with Hanwha Compound to recycle and optimize these resin pellets".

The three models are distinguished by the rounder shapes on the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus and the presence on the Galaxy S23 Ultra of the S Pen nib and, indeed, a 200 megapixel photographic sensor.

The new series is the first to market with Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus 2, engineered to contain an average of 22 percent more pre-consumer recycled materials.

Each Galaxy S23 smartphone is also commercially available with packaging made from 100% recycled paper.

Available to pre-order until 16 February, all versions have been priced higher than the previous range.

The S23 starts at 979 euros (8 Gb + 128 Gb version);

the S23+ from 1,229 euros (8 Gb + 256 Gb) while the Ultra starts from 1,479 euros (8 Gb + 256 Gb).

Anyone who buys a 512 Gb or 1 Tb Galaxy S23 Ultra, a 512 Gb Galaxy S23 Plus or a 256 Gb Galaxy S23 from the Samsung Online Shop will receive a refund on the purchase, as well as the possibility of obtaining a financial contribution for the return of an old model.
