Raban, born in Spain, was identified with the aesthetics of the space age and is considered a successful fashion designer, but one that is also controversial.
He is associated with the male perfume world and was active from the late sixties until 1999, when Raban retired after his 33rd fashion show.
Since then he has rarely been seen in public.
Barcelona-based Puig relaunched his fashion brand in 2011.
